Introduction
Generating a 4096-bit RSA key is way slower than 2048-bit using Jsch. I need to create public and private RSA keys for a client/server application, and I'm using the JSch library to do so. I've been generating 4096-bit keys up until now, as I'd like to have the best security possible. We recently took over a network switch for one of our properties that was managed by a vendor since it was riddled with security holes. The RSA key is 768 bit, if I wanted to make it 2048 or 4096 could I just run the crypto key generate rsa command. A simple openssl speed rsa on my laptop claims 40 signatures or decrypt operations per second (and per core), with 4096-bit RSA keys. Usual algorithms are cubic, so this scales to about 5 signatures or decrypt per second at 8192-bit RSA. It is quite useless anyway; known RSA breaking algorithms already have much trouble reaching 1024 bits, and will never do 2048 bits on this planet. Hence, below is the tool to generate RSA key online. It generates RSA public key as well as the private key of size 512 bit, 1024 bit, 2048 bit, 3072 bit and 4096 bit with Base64 encoded. Switch to a working directory
GNU/Linux & Mac OS X users:

Generate a CSR & Private Key:

Rsa 4096 Bit
To generate a 4096-bit CSR you can replace the rsa:2048 syntax with rsa:4096 as shown below.

You should now have a Private Key (privatekey.key) which should stay on your computer, and a Certificate Signing Request (CSR.csr), which can be submitted to GlobalSign to sign your public key. Each of these files can be viewed in a plain text editor such as Notepad, TextEdit, Vi, Nano, and Notepad++.
